EDUCATIONAL VISITS & TRIPS
Students at the Harrodian have the opportunity to take part in several educational or recreational trips or visits each year. Some of these visits are a compulsory part of the curriculum whilst others are optional.
Parents will be given information regarding these trips (including the cost) well in advance and will always need to sign the consent form before their child is allowed to participate. A full and detailed risk assessment is carried out prior to any visit.
The School’s policy regarding Educational Visits is available on request.
A selection of educational trips, both in the UK and abroad, is offered for each age group during the year. These include essential coursework field trips. Costs are kept as low as possible. Parents sometimes assist staff on day outings. An annual ski trip takes place and groups also attend Outward Bound, World Challenge and other team-building courses.
Fund-raising and fun events such as Christmas and Summer Fairs and the Family Fun Day are held each year. Staff, parents and children work together on these, supporting both the School and a variety of charities.
