Graphic Design

Advanced Level
Graphic Design is new to the Harrodian and is offered at A Level. The subject teaches the principles of 2 dimensional design; the focus being on the process of formulating and following a design brief to successful conclusion. The subject allows exploration of print, screen and web design through digital and more traditional artistic approaches. Design shows an approach to creative expression with commercial potential. Candidates need to display a level of artistic ability and the discipline to work with the framework of a brief and to deadlines.

Each year the students tackle two units of work, one chosen by the candidate which best reflects their interests, the other from a selection offered by the examination board.
