Welcome to Reception C

Class Teacher: Miss Erica Coonan
Assistant: Mr Benny de Castilho
Class Reps: Mrs Sarah Sumpter and Mrs Lisa Jackson

During the Spring term Reception C have been very busy learning all about the countries of the world, especially Japan. We made non-fiction books to explain lots of facts about Japan and we created a travel agent role play complete with its very own sushi bar!

We were extremely lucky to have Will Sumpter's daddy in to tell us all about living in Japan and how to count to ten in Japanese! We now know how to use chop sticks properly and love saying Konnichiwa!

This term PP3B have visited us every Friday to read stories, including ones they have written themselves!

As part of our Literacy week, a drama company came to take us on a safari adventure. The children used their imagination to fly all around the world in search of a magic boomerang!

We have had two science days this term when Gary the Clown visited us. We all dressed up as serious scientists and learnt about forces and light in a science show and work shop.

Our sports sessions are full of energy, we have become incredible gymnasts this term, practicing our handstands and rolly pollies.

We ended our term with reception C performing Ghost busters in our Easter Eggtravaganza show.

The Easter Bonnet parade is a Harrodian tradition on the last full day of the spring term. Reception C created a range of fabulous hats, filling them with as many bunnies, chicks, eggs and feathers as we could.

In Reception we have at least one visit per term, and during the spring term we went to pizza Express as part of our food topic. Next term we are very excited about visiting the London Aquarium as part of our Under the sea topic.
