Preparations are reaching a climax for this Saturday’s Harrodian’s 25th Anniversary Ball which will celebrate a quarter century during which, in Headmaster’s James Hooke’s words, the school has transformed itself from ‘a small, fledgling educational establishment into one of London’s most sought-after schools’.

540 guests will be present in the Harrodian marquee on Saturday to celebrate the milestone which will kick off with a drinks reception in the Senior courtyard, with a musical performance by our pupils in the Jazz Band, followed by a three-course dinner, a few celebration tributes and some Harrodian birthday cake!

One of the highlights will be a charity auction in support of the Harrodian Bursary Fund. Among many spectacular items up for grabs are artworks including a signed print of Jonathan Yeo’s iconic portrait of Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai (above), a Tom Wesselmann still life (below), the last signed edition of Steve Shapiro's photograph portrait of Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick (below), wonderful holiday breaks in Greece and Courchevel, gorgeous handbags of all kinds as well as more quirky prizes such as the opportunity to replace Mr Hooke as Harrodian headmaster for a day. If you are unable to attend but would like to bid, please do so on the evening of Saturday 19 May by clicking this link. Bidding is already hotting up!

Great music will be at the heart of the celebrations. Legendary Japanese guitarist Hotei will be performing, followed by Harrodian’s rocking staff outfit, The Humanities, and the brilliant party band Cheques in the Post too. And if that isn't enough to get people dancing, there will be a disco into the early hours too!
