We are very fortunate at school to have the most amazing Junior Library, stocked with a range of books, designed to appeal to all children, regardless of their interests or reading ability. From PP2 all the children in the Pre-Prep have a library lesson each week, but even in Reception and PP1 children are very welcome to pop into the library and borrow books before or after school.
Our librarians, Mrs Powell and Mrs Guthrie, also have great knowledge about different genres and subject matter that might suit your child so do stop and have a chat with them. In these days of digital technology, we are also fortunate to have our online reading scheme, Bug Club, which offers a slightly different reading experience.
Do check with your child's teacher if you have forgotten or lost your log in and they should be able to sort it out. Bug Club is ideal for extra holiday reading. It is our passion here at Harrodian to develop children who are enthusiastic readers, who can experience the joy and delight that a good book can bring, or to quote one of my favourite authors...
