Our 9s pupils (Year 5) enjoyed learning outdoors as part of a course run by the Field Studies Council at Bushy Park.
The course helped the children develop their Geography knowledge and reinforced their learning of this section of the Humanities curriculum.
The group had the opportunity to look at different types of maps and to practise orienteering skills, using grid references and maps to navigate themselves around a course.
Luckily it was a beautiful day and they were all able to benefit from being outside in the sunshine!
