On the way to Edinburgh

Pupils from the 13s, 14s and Lower Sixth took part in a variety of tasks, including First Aid training, use of cooking equipment, outdoor clothing and tent assembly. The weather wasn’t kind but the pupils persevered and should all now understand the requirements of the expedition section.

The next activity is in March 2019, so the priority is now the other three sections of the Award: Volunteering, Skills and Physical. Pupils should be updating their DofE accounts and attending one of the lunchtime clubs in the ICT suite, either on Tuesday or Thursday, if they need support. Those pupils who handed in their forms a bit late should be signed up with DofE soon. They can still be doing their activities and just need to ‘backdate’ their accounts to the date they started, once they receive them.
