11+ 2022 Entry

There are generally 35 - 40 places available in Year 7. After a comprehensive review of the 11+ process for entry into Year 7 in September 2022, we have made the decision to use the ISEB Common Pre-Test for another year. Registered applicants can sit the ISEB Pre-Test at their current schools and we have requested that school administer the test to pupils no later than Monday 6 December 2021.

The ISEB Pre-Test is a respected and widely used online test for children moving from primary or prep schools to secondary schools. It consists of four sections: Mathematics, English, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning. No special preparation is required for the test, which is adaptive and designed to identify potential as well as attainment.

13+ 2023 Entry via Year 7 Pre-assessment

There are generally 12-15 places available in Year 9. Admission at 13+ (Year 9) for Year 7 Prep School candidates is via the ISEB Common Pre-Test.

All registered applicants will now sit the ISEB Common Pre-Test at their current Prep School instead of coming to Harrodian to sit our own assessments and we have requested that schools administer the tests to pupils no later than early November 2021. Interviews will be held in late November 2021 (exact dates to be confirmed).

The ISEB Pre-Test is a respected and widely used online test for children moving from primary or prep schools to secondary schools. It consists of four sections: Maths, English, Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning. No special preparation is required for the test, which is adaptive and designed to identify potential as well as attainment.

Any offers made via the ISEB Common Pre-Test will no longer be conditional on ISEB 13+ Common Entrance results, but conditional on receipt of a satisfactory reference from the candidates’ Prep School requested in the Autumn Term of Year 8. If you are applying for entry in Year 9 for September 2022 and you are at a Prep School, you can only apply via the 13+ Occasional Place Entry.
