Educational visits within term time and longer trips during the holidays are valued very highly at Harrodian.

Throughout the year, teachers lead trips to relevant performances and cultural events. During term time, the Art department leads trips to galleries and exhibitions in important London galleries; the English and Drama departments organise trips to plays, performances and poetry readings both in the West End and on the fringe; while the Summer trip to the Bank of England is a an important way of bringing  the curriculum to life for Economics students.

The annual foreign trip represents an exciting way of bringing the curriculum to life. For A Level History of Art students the annual week long trip to Rome - including a chronological tour guiding students all the way from the city’s classical roots to the 17th century – is not to be missed. Possible History of Art destinations this year include Venice, New York and Paris.

As well as enriching the subject, these foreign journeys play an important part for students to bond together.  The Geography department’s exciting trips in recent years have included visits to Iceland, Morocco and Sicily and the range of opportunities is sure to continue to grow. In 2018 the History Department has trips planned to both China and Germany while the Music Department’s annual musical tour will see Harrodian Jazz Band visit Budapest
