Prep Drama

The Drama classroom is a lively and exciting place, where pupils are encouraged to be creative and work collaboratively with their peers. Drama in the Prep School is a highly engaging and practical subject that allows pupils to develop a wide range of skills that not only help them to be successful performers but also more confident and resilient learners.

Our Drama department is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where all students, regardless of ability or background, can engage in practical, thought-provoking lessons. We aim to nurture creativity and confidence through diverse activities, encouraging students to think, explore, and respond to new scenarios. By working collaboratively, students develop vital transferable skills, including empathy, resilience, and teamwork, equipping them for success both in and beyond the classroom. Our classes are also focused on pupils learning independently, which not only helps them gain resilience but also prepares them for our Senior School.

The Drama Department offers a number of extracurricular productions for pupils to take part in and we also run a weekly Prep School Drama Club.  Pupils in the Prep School also have the opportunity to participate in the annual House Drama competition and to attend professional theatre productions that support the curriculum.
