Welcome and thank you for visiting the Harrodian website.
Harrodian is still a young school but it has matured and grown up quickly. Founded in 1993 on the site of the former Harrods sports club with just 65 Pre-Prep and Prep age pupils, we now cater for approximately 1,000 boys and girls aged 4-18 in a single school integrating dedicated sections for Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior/Sixth Form. I believe three key factors account for our growing success and popularity.
The first is the amazing riverside location – an unusually beautiful place in which to work, play and grow up. We have adapted and improved our 25-acre site, custom-designing the elegant buildings to suit our needs and adding superb new facilities – science labs, ICT suites, music and drama study centres. The latest, a new floor for the Senior School complete with state-of-the-art Sixth Form and media spaces, opened in September 2017.
Academic standards live up to the environment’s quality. Harrodian delivers a balanced education across diverse subjects, employing dynamic specialist teachers and support staff who inspire our pupils to work to the limits of their potential, prepare them thoroughly for the next steps in life and help them develop a broad range of interests and skills along the way. Results are excellent with standards at every level improving year by passing year.
The third special ingredient in the mix is the unique Harrodian spirit. Parents and pupils all cherish a culture and community in which warmth, spontaneity and lasting friendships are the norm, a place which celebrates individuality and personal achievement as well as promoting a supportive community that binds Harrodians of all ages into a cohesive close-knit family.

Pre-Prep
Our ambition is to make the Harrodian Pre-Prep a school where children aged from 4-7+ can learn and grow in an informal, stimulating and friendly setting. We want it to be a place that boys and girls enjoy coming to and where every day can be a joyful, positive and creative experience.
Prep
Harrodian Prep school provides a friendly and stimulating environment for boys and girls aged between 8 -13, delivering a diverse and exciting curriculum and meeting high academic standards through Key Stages 2 and 3. We are committed to outstanding pastoral care, especially at the vital transition points between Year 3 and 4 and between Years 6 and 7.
Senior School and Sixth Form
Academic excellence is a core goal at Harrodian but not at the expense of diversity. We are committed to enabling students to realise their maximum potential whatever direction their inclinations and talents may take them in. The Senior and Sixth Form is a stimulating, dynamic and nurturing learning environment for students aged 13-18+ with all the qualities required to make good this promise.
