Art Technician - Part-time, term time plus staff training days - Sept. 2025

Responsible to the Head of Art and working as a member of a close-knit team, you will provide technical and classroom support to the teaching of Lower School Art courses in our well-resourced and highly creative Prep School Art Department.

This classroom support mainly involves the provision of classroom assistance to the Art teachers and the provision of support to individual art students requiring extra help.  You will also be responsible for ensuring that all lessons are well prepared in advance with the requisite materials and resources to facilitate a prompt and efficient start.  This will involve checking that appropriate stock levels of materials are maintained and that orders are placed and processed as necessary and in a timely manner. The successful candidate will, therefore, not only have creative flair and be willing to get their hands dirty, but will also be organised, responsible and accurate with their administrative skills.  A full, but not exhaustive, job description is attached below.

The successful applicant will be required to have an art background, an excellent understanding of materials and processes, and be able to work proactively in response to the arising needs of others.
