We are seeking a well-qualified, highly-skilled and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 / Primary-trained teacher with a Science specialism to teach both Science and Mathematics from Year 4 to Year 6 pupils in the Prep School. In addition, and for the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to take on the role of Key Stage 1 and 2 Science Coordinator during the maternity cover period. The successful candidate will be a strong scientist and/or mathematician, be exemplary in their professionalism and educational practice, and be able to teach, inspire and nurture all pupils in their Science and Maths learning. They should consistently model excellent practice, have proven classroom management skills and be able to make a significant contribution to this busy and vibrant part of the school. A solid grounding in a Teaching for Mastery approach to Maths is highly desirable.
This is a full-time teaching position. In addition to the main teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to take on Form Tutor responsibility and play a full part in the co-curricular life of the Prep School, including having an enthusiasm and willingness to assist with and attend departmental events and trips (residential and day).

Working days and hours
This is a full-time position to cover a maternity leave that is planned to start in November 2025. Working hours during term time are: Mondays from 08h00 to 17h00 and Tuesdays to Fridays from 08h15 to 17h00.
