Our 13s (year 9s) triumphed over unseasonal wet and windy conditions to successfully complete their Duke of Edinburgh bronze qualifying expedition to the Surrey Hills. Mr Holder was impressed.
The DofE Bronze expedition in the Surrey Hills was a great success. We were very impressed with the organisation and resilience shown by our 13s in what were at times quite difficult weather conditions. We hope that they learned a lot from the experience and will take this forward when organising themselves for future trips, hopefully in the outdoors. We also hope that many of the 13s will consider the Silver Award next year (May is not usually this cold!).

Mr Guy Holder, Harrodian Duke of Edinburgh Award Co-ordinator
The 13s should now focus on completing their other Bronze activities, and the associated paperwork, before the end of this academic year, if at all possible. Mr Davies and Mr Holder have been running support sessions on Monday lunchtimes and will continue to do so after the Half Term holiday. This is the ‘first port of call’ for any queries that pupils may have.
