After the welcome return to school for our Reception, PP1 (Year) and 10s (Year 6) children over three weeks ago, Harrodian has been delighted to open its gates to more pupils this week.

Children from PP2, PP3 (Years 2/3) and our 8s/9s (Year 4/5) were thrilled to be back at school in the afternoons. With lessons outside in the glorious sunshine and lots of sporting activities, it has been a fun first week back for them.

Ms Horan has been really pleased to see her Pre-Prep pupils enjoying their school surroundings again. "There has been some great outdoor learning and it is a joy to see the children rekindling their friendships with their teachers and peers," she says.

Head of Lower Prep Mrs O'Neill has been reassured to see how most of the children have taken the return to school in their stride.  "The best thing about the children coming back to school, is watching them relax with each other and re-make their friendships. To see that although they may have been anxious, being on the field and at school is reassuringly normal."

Meanwhile higher up the school, Lower Sixth Formers are also back in school on Wednesday afternoons, as are the 14s (Year 10) pupils on Thursdays. Keeping the children safe is the priority and with just over 330 children on site and approximately 30-40 staff, it has been possible to put effective social distancing and hygiene measures in place.

Mr Hooke has been delighted to see more familiar faces back at Harrodian this week and is looking forward to the possibility of school returning on a more normal basis in September.
