The cast of Harrodian's production of Legally Blonde was reunited for a trip Regent's Park Open Air Theatre to see a very different production of the same show. What did they make of the experience, we wondered?
With a 60-strong cast of pupils aged 12 to 18, our biggest orchestra ever, and epic song and dance numbers throughout, Harrodian's Legally Blonde was a sell out. Students spent so much time rehearsing together that they felt like one big family and it was inevitable that new friendships across different year groups flourished. Special Legally Blonde hoodies were even made after the show as a way of marking the cast's camaraderie, so it was no surprise to see how thrilled they were to all get together again.
Soon-to-be Head Girl, Grace, featured below in Harrodian's production of Legally Blonde, really enjoyed seeing the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's version of the show.

When asked how the Regent's Park production compared to Harrodian's, Grace's reply is tactful and composed. "It was great to see a more modernised take on Legally Blonde with such diverse casting and impressive sets, costumes and dancing!"
Balanced in her critique, she is keen to compliment Harrodian on staying true to the original script. "I did miss some of my favourites lines that had been cut but the atmosphere was great fun with lots of pink in the audience and even pink hot chocolate in the interval!"
