Our First team rugby faced a big physical challenge in their first round of the Nat West Schools cup when they took on the might of local rivals St Ceciila's, Wandsworth. But our youthful squad did the school proud, battling to an 8-5 lead at half-time.
The the second half was largely a rearguard battle but the team lacked nothing in spirit, defending bravely, tackling hard and also managing some swift and dangerous attacks on the break one of which produced an excellent try, before St Ceciila achieved a deserved 22-15 victory.

The team looked rusty in the first half conceding an early and struggling to find a finish to their slick looking attacking moves. But despite the blow of missing a penalty early in the second half, Harrodian began to turn the game around. Buoyed by the arrival of an enthusiastic band of supporting parents and pupils, harrodian began to hit attacking form.Powerful striker Hugh scored a superb hattrick and the floodgates opened with the first XI finally running out 5-1 winners.
