With the help of a parent-and pupil-packed church, eight Harrodian choirs filled St Paul’s Hammersmith with festive harmonies at Harrodian's annual Christmas Carol Concert
As always with Harrodian musical events, the music ranged across hymns and songs from the ancient to the modern.

Our eight choirs took on everything from classics from the American twentieth century Christmas songbook such as Have Yourselves a Merry Little Christmas (The Boys' Choir) and It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas (the Staff Choir), to recent pop favourite, Somewhere Only We Know (The Senior Choir).

The mood of the Christmas readings by pupils from every school age group was equally varied, encompassing joyous and jolly extracts from writers including Dickens and Dr Seuss.

With our Principal, Sir Andrew Parmley at the organ as usual, the congregation responded to Mr Hooke's plea to 'raise the roof' of St Paul's with their rousing renditions of traditional carols, concluding with the Head’s favourite, Hark, the Herald Angels Sing.

The Carol Concert was also a Christmas fundraiser with funds collect both in cash and via QR codes going to the two winning charities from the 13s' summer 2025 Youth Philanthropy Initiative, Lives Not Knives and cancer charity,Yes to Life . Donations can still be made via these links.
