Are you and your children missing the pleasures of summertime sport? Mr Proudfoot and Ms Foster are providing the next best thing with their on-line regime.

Harrodian’s lovely riverside site is a glorious place to enjoy summer sport so we know how badly many pupils will be missing their regular fix of tennis, cricket, athletics and their dips in the pool.

Mr Proudfoot, our Head of Sport and Ms Foster, recently appointed as Head of Lower Prep, are feeling the same way. The pair have drawn on their PE experience and expertise to plan a new home fitness regime which they are sharing with Harrodian pupils on-line. ‘We want to do our best to make sure Harrodians stay happy and healthy while they’re not physically coming into school,’ explains Mr Proudfoot. ‘So Ms Foster and I have invited pupils to Google Classroom where they can find our ideas, videos and challenges for keeping fit, along with some refreshers to help practise the summer sports we are all sadly missing.’

All the details of the regime can be found by holders of Harrodian passwords on the school’s Google Classroom site. In the meantime, for a sample of some of the exercises on offer – Mr Proudfoot’s Press ups and Ms Foster’s painful Plank – you can follow the links below.

‘The current situation is most definitely a challenging one,’ says Mr Proudfoot. ‘ But I think it’s also an opportunity to challenge ourselves positively and by directing our own learning and improve our fitness individually.'
