Once again, our Harrodian Christmas Fair was the perfect occasion to celebrate the start of the festive season. Guests were treated to a fun-packed afternoon. This year's event included old favourites such as a Panto, Santa's Grotto, a Christmas Bazaar, fireworks and mulled wine along with some new innovations such as Santa's Express train (a big hit with adults and kids alike!) and a Photo Booth.

Located in the Dining Room, a dedicated charity area added a strong community focus. Representatives from DKMS, Actions Breaks Silence, and RPT were able to sell products and/or promote the work they do. Five pupils from the 14s to Lower Sixth were also selling cakes in the dining room to raise money for a philanthropic school trip to Tanzania.

A group of our Senior pupils and Prefects, worked hard, helping on stalls and assisting as Santa's elves in the grotto or making waffles and bringing Christmas cheer to the day's events.

Working alongside Captain Stewart, Head of the Seniors, on his Fossils and Minerals stall were Prep pupils and avid attendees of his related lunchtime club.

Our allotment stall, supervised by Debbie and many of her parent helpers, sold an array of plants but also jams, condiments and sauces made with produce grown on Harrodian grounds.

The Bazaar had a busy trading day in the Theatre, selling a selection of gifts ranging from scarves and candles to jewellery and gadgets.

A group of mums (aka the Lady Kilas), who have set themselves the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro next year to raise money for charity, were selling their Harrodian-branded purple Christmas baubles in aid of GOSH, Young Minds, Pancreatic Cancer Action and Breast Cancer Now. A range of refreshments, from traditional to exotic, were on offer throughout the day in various locations around the school grounds, including  a Côte Brasserie pop up champagne bar and an Italian homemade ravioli stand.

An impressive fireworks display, arguably the best in South West London, provided the grand finale to a fun and festive day.

Thank you to all the parents and pupils who gave up their time to help support this event and to our Harrodian School's Parents' Association (HSPA) Events Committee for making the whole thing come together! We look forward to announcing the total raised and donated to Castelnau Centre Project
