After a three-year absence, the Summer Fair was back and just one of many wonderful events organised by our Parents Association and Events Committee this term.
At this year's much anticipated Summer Fair, guests were able to enjoy the following fun; Activ Camps giant inflatables, the Harrodian Parents' BBQ, a Pimms bar, Live Music stage featuring performances by pupils across the school and of all ages, a special prize draw, candy floss, popcorn, and a Pre-Prep soft play zone with extra vintage games.
The Harrodian swimming pool was open too and for a small entrance fee keen swimmers were welcome to dive in. A face painter was busy making children (and some adults too!) look colourful. Other Harrodian stalls included the tombola, sweet stall and pocket money stall. Also on offer were an ice cream stand, a coffee van and crazy golf! The Senior students ran a car wash, raising money for the Royal Marsden Hospital, and a Senior Student Tanzania team, set about raising their profile, as well as cash for their African expedition next summer. Finally, the big marquee featured the Summer Bazaar shopping area, including 22 local businesses, as well as the school allotment and second-hand uniform stall.
All the money raised at the Summer Fair will be donated to the D.E.C. Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.

The HSPA team also organised two Mr Marvel discos for our Pre-Prep and Lower Prep children after school and a golf evening for keen players – parents and students – at Roehampton Golf Club. The latter raised money for the Harrodian Bursary Fund and involved some of our golf-fanatic alumnae - one of whom, Louis Tydeman, is now a professional golfer with a world ranking.
