bikeathon.JPGHarrodian staged its first ever Green Day on Wednesday 26th June when the school united both to raise environmental consciousness and to undertake a range of fund-raising activities on behalf of Greenpeace and of local charity Thames 21 clean up.

Guest of Honour and Harrodian alumnus, Jack Harries launched the day with an inspiring assembly when he explained his conversion from teen You Tuber to green campaigner, documentary maker and WWF Ambassador to Harrodians from 11 to 18. The World he warned his audience remained ‘preoccupied with profit over planet’ urging pupils to ‘lend their voices to the green cause and to walk or bike to school, recycle and buy second-hand, use less plastic and eat less meat’.
