A very special season for Harrodian’s Boys Football First Team comes to its climax with a crunch cup tie in the last week of term.
The team, (above and below) which includes players drawn from the 15s to the Upper Sixth has already made history by going unbeaten throughout its regular autumn fixtures and racking up a hat-full of goals along the way. It’s also excelled itself by performing superbly in knock-out competitions including a run in the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) cup that has seen the First XI reach the last sixteen for the first time.
On Wednesday at 1.45, the team meets Royal Russell with a place in the Quarter Final of England’s leading private schools football tournament at stake. Please do come along and cheer them on.
There’s sure to be plenty of our future generation of Harrodian First teamers in the crowd. They marked the end of their school football season with a special Soccer Saturday last weekend (below) on which every school A Team played its equivalent in the year above: from the 8s-9s all the way up to Lower and Upper Sixth teams.
