It's become an end of year Harrodian tradition for the 8s to act out the Hindu wedding ceremony in front of an audience of parents as a conclusion to their year of Humanities studies.
Every year the 8s act out the events that make up a real Hindu wedding, with three different sets of boys and girls dressing up and taking the parts of brides, grooms, priests and wedding guests.
Parents are invited to come in to watch the ceremony taking place and to join the ‘wedding feast’ and the party that follows. As always the event is masterminded by Ms Field. This year’s wedding was narrated by Mr Almond and took place on the final Wednesday of term.
