A special workshop which took place in the Photographers' gallery’s Camera Obscura provided the group both with an insight into the fundamentals of photography and the workings of the human eye.  This special viewing room – Camera obscura literally means 'dark room' in Latin – features a hole in the wall (see below) covered by a lens and surrounded by mirrors. As light passes through it, an image of the street outside is projected onto the walls of the camera obscura. Using a handle to adjust the mirrors, students were able to get a 360° view of the surrounding Soho streetscape– as well as gaining an insight into the fundamentals of photography and the workings of the human eye.

In contrast, All I Know Is What’s On The Internet was a show that featured the work of 11 contemporary artists and groups seeking to map, visualise and question 21st Century image culture.  It investigated how today’s photographic images multiply online and considered the implications of this endless circulation of content.
