This year’s A Level results day saw Harrodian Sixth Formers achieve their best (non Covid era) examination results ever
Harrodian Sixth Formers were in buoyant mood on Thursday 14th August when they gathered at the school to learn their A Level results. And no wonder. This year 68% of all grades achieved by Harrodians were either A* or A.
This high point for the school was firmly founded on strong achievement across all subject areas. No fewer than 41 students (44 %) achieved all A* or A grades; 50 students (53 %) achieved the equivalent of 3 As or better; and 82 of the 94 (87 %) achieved at least one A or A* grade.

Naturally, strong examination results across the board also fed into strong UCAS performance. 84 % of Harrodians were accept by their first-choice university or college with 94 % succeeding with either their first or their ‘insurance’ application.
‘I’m thrilled that so many of our students have seen their hard work and their dedication to our Sixth Form ethos rewarded,’ said Head of Sixth Form Ms Alison Heller. ‘As well as being ambitious, industrious and determined, Harrodian Sixth Formers also stand out for the pleasure they take in each other’s achievements. This mutual support manifests itself in the form of fabulous results for everyone.
Headmaster James Hooke also believes the distinctive character of Harrodian Sixth Form culture is a major factor in the steady upward curve of the school’s A Level performance across the board. ‘We provide a lot of subject choice in the Sixth Form but whatever classroom you’re in, you can be sure of finding ambitious students collaborating harmoniously with excellent, hard-working and highly-invested teachers willing to go the extra mile,’ he says. ‘It’s very exciting and rewarding to see this co-operative approach driving A level success in every one of the 31 subjects we offer in the Sixth Form’all the way from Maths and Economics, across science and Business to creative fields like Art, Design and Music.’
