Inspired by his money raising efforts for the Armed Forces veterans charity SSAFA as part of Harrodian's Youth Philanthropy Initiative  Fifteens (year 10) pupil Fynn decided to mark VE Day by running a marathon to raise more money for the same cause. Unable to take to the high road, Fynn instead took a leaf out of Colonel Tom Moore's strategy manual by confining his route to multiple laps of the driveway of his home, as you can see on his video. Harrodian Head of Charity, Captain Rob Stewart, was impressed both by Fynn's seven hour feat of endurance and by his timing. 'Compassion for others and co-operation to build a better future will be keystones in getting us through this crisis,' he says. 'This is a moment when veterans need help like this even more so Fynn's actions will mean a lot to them.'  So far, Fynn has raised over £600 through his Just Giving page which you can find here

Seven-year-old Kitty in PP2SSA decided to embark on a series of cycle rides on behalf of the NHS. Her travels took her around Richmond Park, down the river to Battersea and all around the streets of Barnes. So far she has raised a valuable £400 in donations on her just giving page.

The Little Princess Trust is a charity that provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years old, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. This brilliant cause inspired Prep Pupil Isabella, 10, who decided that during lockdown, she would grow it as long as possible and commit to contributing at least 12 inches to the charity. It's all going well so far, as you can see from the picture below. Isabella is also hoping to raise the £550 it costs to make the wig through her Just Giving page.
