It's been a highly successful autumn for Harrodian's netballers with several age groups teams coming out on top in the week-long tournament on the school courts that marked the season's end.
Harrodian hosted its biggest ever annual End of Season Netball Tournament in the last week of November with between 14 and 16 schools competing on the school's courts on all five days.
Harrodian had a very successful week taking gold with our U12s (top) beating Heath Mount in the Final and so did the U14s (below), beating Kingston Grammar School in their final. The U13s (above) were unlucky to miss out in their final but took silver by narrowly losing to an incredibly strong Godolphin and Latymer Team.
The senior tournament saw Latymer take the win beating Godolphin and Latymer in the final with Notting Hill and Ealing taking silver. The U15s tournament was delayed for a week week but the delay didn't put off our 15s team (bottom) who also took gold.
Head of Netball Hannah Pullen was delighted with the success of the tournament as a whole and proud of the performance of the Harrodian teams. 'Each day saw netball being played to a very high standard,' she said . 'And it was great to see so many girls enjoying, getting out and playing the game competitively.'
Meanwhile, the U12s reached the last 4 in the London and South East in the School Sport National Cup alongside Putney, Epsom College and Croydon High. Unfortunately, the girls narrowly lost to Putney High in a thrilling match on Monday evening losing 27-20. 'The 12s can be extremely proud of their performance, not only in this match but throughout the whole season,' said Ms Pullen. 'The standard of netball played has been incredible and they have been a pleasure to teach.'
