The sun shone on the three days Harrodian devotes to athletics and all our competitors grasped the opportunity to run, jump, throw and pull with both hands.
Sports Day at Harrodian is always a special day in our calendar. Pupils of all ages strive to earn points for one of their four houses, as well as to win their individual competitions. Our pupils really do relish the opportunity to battle for supremacy over their peers in activities ranging from long jump to tug of war. This year's Prep Competition saw Lonsdale shaded Ferry to win the House Cup (below), with Thames winning the Pre-Prep and Ferry the Senior competitions.
The pictures above and below and in our galleries reveal just how fierce the sports day battles both between individuals and houses can be but the photographs also capture the spirit of pleasure and mutual respect that underpins competition at Harrodian. After the race has been run, the points totted up and the places decided, the biggest winners on Harrodian Sports Day are fun and friendship.

The feeling of camaraderie was just as palpable on Senior Sports Day for our 12s -14s pupils (Year 8 to Year 10) too. Pupils took part in a range of activities including hurdles, sprints (100m/300m), high jump, long jump, assault course with inflatable, javelin, discus, shotput and finishing with a relay. Ferry was awarded the House trophy in first place.
