The poor weather in June forced the postponement of the scheduled qualifying expedition until the autumn. 'The dedication and perseverance of our pupils is remarkable,' says Mr Holder. 'Whilst conditions were mainly fine, being on the water in September can be more challenging and the Monday was very wet.'
'We're looking forward to seeing the Silver cohort complete all other sections of their Award,' Mr Holder adds. 'And we'd like to remind all those who embarked DofE last year to be proactive in doing the same thing.'
Meanwhile, Mr Holder and his DofE team are signing up this year's cohort for Bronze, Silver and Gold. All details were sent out on Friday September 10th and the deadline for receipt of entries is Friday October 8th.
