In mid-September, 13s and 14s (years 9 and 10) each enjoyed their own special half-day teambuilding session on the Harrodian playing fields

September is team building’s high season at Harrodian. In the first week of term, the Lower Sixth enjoyed their own annual team-building day at the Thames Young Mariners’ centre at Ham. Last week it was the 13s and 14s (year 9s and 10s) turn with each taking part in its own half day session on the Harrodian playing fields.

The informality and fun of these half-days aims to relax the inhibitions that can hold pupils back.

We're looking to build mutual trust and to bring the group together

Captain Rob Stewart, Head of Seniors

'We're looking to build mutual trust and to bring the group together,' explains Captain Stewart, Head of Seniors. 'We believe these kind of activities are particularly valuable at points when pupils join the school and when they are transitioning to a more senior level as they do in the 13s.'
