On Monday we will be holding a whole-school fund raising ‘Peace Day’ for victims of the Russian/Ukrainian conflict.

This is an initiative driven by our Senior Prefects and pupils.

A huge thank you to those pupils and parents who have already been so generous with the donations they have dropped off at school.

“Wear White for ‘Peace”

Pupils throughout the school, from Pre-Prep to Upper Sixth, and staff, are encouraged to wear white on Monday – (this could simply be a white school sport top or full white mufti, whichever pupils prefer).  In return, they are asked to donate £2.00 in cash and will receive a white peace wristband to wear.

The wristbands will also be on sale for parents at Main Reception.

Cake sales

We will also be holding break time charity cake sales (nut free) for Prep, Senior and Sixth Form pupils on Monday.

Children will need to bring cash to school on Monday and all the money raised will be donated to the British Red Cross.

Donations

Everyone is welcome to make donations to the British Red Cross via the link below:

“Back Pack for Hope”

Another fundraising initiative is “Back Pack for Hope” whereby pupils are invited to bring bags on Monday containing suitable non-perishable items that can be easily stored and transported.  All these donated items will be sent to help refugees fleeing Ukraine.  Bags can be dropped along the carpark side of the Security Lodge, or for Pre-Prep children, in the box outside the Pre-Prep Resource Room.  There are also large buckets outside the Prep Office (Ms Foster and Rev Hardie’s office).

Priority items to include:

- Medical supplies such as wound dressings, plasters
- General First Aid kits
- Antiseptic creams
- Baby food, nappies, muslins
- Sanitary products
- Men’s socks

Please note that no other clothes or food items should be included.

Other useful items needed:

- Sleeping bags
- Warm blankets
- Pillows
- Toothpaste and brushes
- Hot water bottles
- Roll mats
- Backpacks

Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
