The annual Shine Walk had its biggest ever turn out this year and raised around £3000 for Cancer Research UK.
On a shiny September Saturday evening the Harrodian community came together once again to lace up, light up and walk with purpose to support Cancer Research UK. This Shine Walk marks our eleventh year (excluding the pandemic years) of supporting this important cause. Now more than a decade into this tradition, it remains one of our longest-running fundraising events and one of the most meaningful commitments that each new team of Senior Student Leaders embraces.
This year, we had our biggest ever turn out. Sixty 6th Form students and Captain Stewart joined forces to walk through the night-time streets of London.
Leading the charge were our Senior Prefects and Head Mentors, who rallied Sixth Formers with energy and enthusiasm. Their leadership helped ensure that the Shine Walk continues to thrive as a highlight of the school year and a moving example of Harrodians making a difference beyond our gates.
More than just a walk, the evening was a moment of reflection and remembrance, as participants walked in unity for all those whose lives have been touched by cancer. The sense of community and determination was palpable, with Harrodians once again showing that spirit and solidarity are at the heart of our school.
