What is your child up to - besides eating - on an average Tuesday between 12pm and 1.30 or so? As this week's photo essay reveals, when it comes to lunchtime clubs, Harrodian Prep and Senior pupils have plenty of exciting options. Photos by Yana Kozar

Prep Art Club

Almost every corridor and corner of Harrodian's campus buildings features a painting or a piece created by a Harrodian pupil. Clubs like the Prep Art Club led by Head of Art Laura Caldecott fuel this spirit of creativity. In this lunchtime session she was helping Prep pupils make papier maché animal masks inspired by a range of different sources

Boys' Prep Choir

boys loving choir

Meanwhile over in the auditorium, twenty or so boys conducted by Mr Dan Maybury are visibly enjoying a introduction to the charms of West Coast 1980s American pop rockers, Toto. They're perfecting a choral version of Toto's 1982 hit, Africa, perhaps to be debuted at the Autumn Concert in a few weeks time.

Girls Football Club

The popularity of football is continuing to surge among Harrodian girls and that is reflected in participation and performance on pitch. There is plenty of tricky dribbling and tough tacklng on show among the years 7s and 8s competing in a practice match led by Head of Prep sport, Hazel Lovegrove and many of these girls will be competing for places in school teams playing in local and regional cup matches throughout this term and next.

Head of Design  Mr Jake Murray's also leads Harrodian STEM clubs such as ballooning and CanSat. His Terrarium club has a slightly slower-pace and challenges its members to create a self-sustaining eco system within the confines of a closed glass jar and to maintain the cycle of growth and renewal for as long as possible.
