Head Girl, Samantha, and Head Boy, Ollie, hosted a dinner at Cutlers' Hall, to which they invited all our current Senior Prefects and Head Mentors team.
There were approximately 25 Lower Sixth students in attendance, joined by Dr Parmley, Mr Hooke, Mr Behan, Ms Heller, Captain Stewart and other members of teaching staff.
Nina, Honey and Maria sang 'I wish I may' from The Witches of Eastwick and were accompanied on the piano by Zach. The Head Boy and Head Girl gave their thank you speeches and Captain Stewart delivered a more formal speech that highlighted the work of our Prefects and Mentors. There were also various toasts that were given - a grace before dinner, a toast to the Queen, member of the Royal Family and The Lord Mayor and City of London Corporation.
The passing round of the Loving Cup, an ancient tradition from the City of London, was another highlight of the evening. It started at the top table, made its way around the room and involved three people at any given time; one to lift the lid, one to drink from the cup and the other to act as protector.
