GCSE Results day was very different this year. For the first time, no Harrodian pupils or parents came into school. Results instead were made available on the day online via Edulink and emailed home.
The year group was instead treated to a special fun day and barbecue at the close of the summer term to celebrate the end of their examinations, (see photo below). To read more about the occasion click here.
Results were similar to last year and equally impressive with percentages well above the national and independent school averages. This year's pupils also achieved the second highest number of 9s (equivalent to A/A*) since 2008. Apart from just a handful of leavers, our current 15s cohort are all looking forward to moving into the Sixth Form in September.
In the face of adversity, our pupils and staff have confronted the most challenging two years of education this country has experienced and have succeeded in fine fashion with their heads held high.
Head of Seniors, Rob Stewart
Clearly proud of their achievements, Head of Seniors Rob Stewart is full of praise. 'In the face of adversity, our pupils and staff have confronted the most challenging two years of education this country has experienced and have succeeded in fine fashion with their heads held high. Our 15s pupils have been absolute troopers and will make fine Sixth Formers.'
