On their final trip of the year, Lower Sixth Art students enjoyed the huge variety of work on show at the Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition. One of the highlights was viewing the painting in front of which the group photograph above was staged. It was created by artist Sarah Pickstone who described the picture as 'a valentine to the Swiss-born painter Angelica Kauffman, one of the founding Members of the RA' in the 18th century.
